Every weekend Kidside kids (6 weeks old through 5th grade) have a safe, age-appropriate environment where they can connect to Jesus and other kids. We teach the Bible in creative and relevant ways that kids can understand. We love creating experiences where kids have a place to belong and someone who believes in them.

We would love to see you and your family become part of our Kidside family this weekend!

Your First Visit

As you come onto the Northside campus look for the parking lot nearest to Door 2. We have reserved parking spots for first-time families. When you enter the building through Door 2 look for the Kidside Lobby where there will be three computer stations ready to greet you! We will meet your family, check your child into our database system, and one of our Family Guest Service leaders will lead you and your child to their Kidside room.

We have six distinct environments for kids:

  • Nursery (6 weeks-18 months)
  • Early Childhood (Toddlers-3yr)
  • PreK-Kindergarten
  • 1st-2nd Grades
  • 3rd-5th Grades
  • Special Needs

Safety & Security

Safety

Your child’s safety is our top priority. We are committed to maintaining the following guidelines to keep your child safe while they are in our environments:

  • Highly Trained and Qualified Leaders
All of our leaders undergo a background check and receive training prior to joining our team. They must fill out a new background check form and attend a leader training event each year. We also follow the “never alone” rule which means that a Leader is never alone with a child.
  • Secured Entrances and Exits
Every door to our area remains locked during the entirety of our services unless it is being actively monitored by a member of our Family Guest Services Team or our Health and Safety Team. No one will be permitted in our area unless they have a leader tag for that service or a family tag to check in or check out a child.
  • Safety Plans and Drills
Our leaders are trained annually to respond quickly in the case of an emergency with a drill performed at our annual leader training. If you would like more information about our safety procedures you can contact a member of our staff.

Health Notes & Allergies

If your child has any health concerns or special needs, notify our Family Guest Services Team when you register. They will make a note on your child’s account and/or provide you with an intake form for our Inclusion Team if necessary.

If your child has an allergy to something they may come in contact with during a weekend service or special event, please notify our Family Guest Services Team. The Family Guest Services Team will add an alert to your child’s name tag. We only provide snacks to children during some special events. We will post an allergy alert at Check-in if we plan to give out a snack during service.

FAQs
We encourage your children to attend their age appropriate classrooms where they will have a curriculum designed specifically for them.
To get your child checked in securely to his or her classroom, we will collect some basic information about you and your child. You can do this in person before church starts. Family Guest Services volunteers may be found in the lobby at computer stations in the entrance of our children’s environments. Once you check in, you will receive a set of stickers for you and your child. These stickers show your child’s room location, their name, age, and service time, and a 3-digit Child ID security code.
When your child is checked in to our database, you receive a 3-digit Child ID code on your stickers. If we need to contact you for any reason, we will display this number on the large screen in the Sanctuary and on the electronic display boxes in the adult Weekend Group classrooms.
